Save time, reduce risk, and improve your ROI with a centrally managed energy efficiency rollout.
We take a comprehensive approach, incorporating a high level of expertise, attention to detail, energy efficiency and lifecycle thinking.
This ensures your project goes smoothly and has lasting impacts for years to come.
Rather than looking at a single area of your building, we use integrative design and multi-discipline expertise to improve your ROI.
1
Desktop Analysis
After an initial discovery session to learn more about your organisational goals and potential projects, we conduct a Desktop Analysis and consolidate existing data.
This provides context for a site audit, and helps uncover immediate opportunities. We analyse your power bills, review energy tariffs, consult your site managers and check your eligibility for government grants to ensure you don’t miss out on available financial incentives.
2
Site Audit
Site audits help you understand where energy is being used, uncover issues, opportunities for savings, and compare the potential benefits of improvements.
Our comprehensive data capture process and specialist software enables efficient data collection with high levels of accuracy.
We conduct detailed data capture of key equipment, including operating profiles, power usage, and sizing, and produce a standardised output with indexed images and mapped locations. We also consider building orientation, building shell, and system effectiveness (e.g. lux levels and temperatures).
In some cases this can be done as a phone audit using our specialist software, to reduce costs and travel time.
In other cases we conduct a detailed Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3 AS 3598 Energy Audit, or install permenant energy monitoring equipment.
3
Data Processing & Asset Register Creation
After the site audit, our dataset is reviewed for quality control and converted into a uniform output that centralises data across key metrics such as performance (lux levels, hours of use), location (including indexed images), and existing power consumption. This can later be used for tendering, project management and asset management.
A detailed asset register can serve as a foundational tool for strategic CAPEX planning, developing robust mechanical strategies, and ensuring informed decision-making and long-term asset optimisation.
Employing advanced modelling and expertise to pinpoint inefficiencies, we then conduct an energy analysis to identify areas of energy waste, so that we can look at cost reduction strategies.
4
Design & Engineering
Harnessing the expertise of our in-house team (mechanical engineer, MIES lighting designer, electrician, energy-efficient architect, licensed builder), we design and document a tailored solution for your site.
Unlike a single product importer who is biased towards their own limited range, we also have an extensive network of suppliers, meaning we can tailor solutions to each project.
Considerations include energy efficiency, user experience, aesthetics, embodied emissions, compliance with Australian standards, and Total Cost of Ownership (e.g. repairability and warranty).
5
Business Case Analysis
Options are modelled to determine the best solution in terms of ROI, and the projected energy (kWh, kVA, gas), maintenance, financial, and carbon savings are calculated to assist in decision making.
Clarifying the economic impact your potential investment helps you make informed decisions, ensuring a solid return on investment and long-term financial benefits.
6
Estimating
Project costs (e.g. procurement, labour, access, project management, commissioning, recycling, government incentives) are calculated, including consideration of multiple subcontractors and manufacturers, to provide a comprehensive, accurate and competitive quote.
Our national portfolio gives us buying power with a range of manufactures and contractors, while our inhouse team draw on experience as engineers, HVAC and electrical contractors, builders, and facilities managers, to build a quote which is both value engineered and risk managed.
7
Reporting & Scope Finalisation
Whether we deliver an AS 3598 Energy Audit report with detailed End Use Breakdowns, analysis of load profiles, behaviours, processes, and carbon emissions, or a simple proposal targeting low-hanging fruit, our reports identify areas for improvement, detailed savings projections, costings, and next steps.
8
Implementation
Rather than leaving you with another to do list, we provide turnkey implementation. We can subcontract to your preferred tradesmen, or use our own national network of vetted subcontractors.
Our implementation process includes final design development and scoping, liaison with site managers, pre-install site inspections, logistics planning of multiple sites for geographical clustering and resource allocation, configuration of existing BMS, lighting and other controls, procurement, stock management, warehousing, documentation, contractor inductions, coordination, site specific SWMS, project management, installation and problem solving.
Once installation, verification, commissioning, recycling and reporting are complete, we build long term relationships and keep you up to date with future developments in regulatory changes, government rebates, and energy efficiency technologies.
To limit travel emissions and support local employment, we work with local contractors. We have a national network of vetted subcontractors from Tasmania to Darwin who we have worked with before, or we can subcontract installation to your own preferred contractors to make use of their site knowledge.
Through establishment of an energy team and quarterly reviews, we can work with you to analyse and report on energy efficiency, offering tailored recommendations for process adjustments, equipment upgrades, building enhancements, and government grants to apply for, complemented by on-site investigation, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
